A letter from Roger Knoebber to his sister Sarah Knoebber, dated 18 June 1985, with its envelope and a copy of the letter.
The first paragraph of this letter outlines Roger's philosophy of correspondence, and the remainder of the first page (and half of the second) is on Canada (and related stories).
Roger mentions Wavy Gravy, Ram Dass, and others in response to earlier discussion. Roger also mentions Michael Ondaatje. Roger also mentions Dame Francis Yates' The Art of Memory.
The final paragraph reads: "Night falls and Roger descends to the streets which reek of urine and the subway which will be redolent with partially digested supper belched and farted up by my chosen countrymen. Pablum never seems to have caught on here; a garlic clove and a glass of Burgundy will satisfy a French baby's nutritional needs."
