A letter from Roger Knoebber to his sister Sarah Knoebber, dated 22 December 1989, including the envelope and a copy of the letter.

Roger, after an introductory paragraph, notes that he is now "part French, part Arab, and part c*nt", and that he can breath better than he has in the previous 12 years [Roger had a lung transplant earlier in the year]. He notes that the operation made a small mess of his chest aesthetically, but can't complain for the ease of breathing.

Roger discusses living outside of France and the anxiety it gives him for the lack of security and safety nets.

The following paragraph is full of praise and admiration for his sister, wishing her a happy birthday.

Roger ends with a note that he has about 3-4 more weeks of recuperation and asserts that he is eager to get out and meet women.
