A letter from Roger Knoebber to his sister Sarah Knoebber, dated 10 June 1986, with its envelope and a copy of the letter.

The first paragraph is a discussion of classical Greek philosophy, after which, in the second paragraph, Roger discusses hope, faith, and generosity.

He then mentions an essay by D. E. Harding, and Zen, Sufi, and Christian mystical teachings.

Roger mentions that he is coming to America in July for a month or two, to be present at his daughter Khamoor's wedding, to visit his and Sarah's mother.

He begins the letter again on 19 June, and discusses his proposed visit more.

Roger ends by expressing that "in spite of all [his] misanthropic cynicism and general negative assessment of the human experience, [he remains] absolutely enchanted by beauty and humor."
