23: Brion Gysin [or, alternatively, Brion Gysin: 23], an anthology of works by and about Brion Gysin published by I.C.B.M. (Caen, France), Éditions Cactus (Herouville Saint Clair, France) and 23 [Hervé Binet, et al] (Montrouge, France) in 1993. This was published in tandem with the Brion Gysin Play Back exhibition at Espace Electra, etc.
Roger Knoebber contributes "B.G. Blues" to this anthology, pp. 107-112, and this is his copy. At the beginning of the contribution, Roger hand-corrected the spelling of his name – he is erroneously credited as Roger Knoebbler [sic].
A newspaper article (perhaps from Libération) on Jajouka was tucked into its covers when received for the archive.
This book also contains writing by William S. Burroughs, Brion Gysin, Hamri, Maurice Benhamou, John Geiger, Udo Breger, Bernard Heidsieck, Henri Chopin, Guy Schraenen, Gérard-Georges Lemaire, Françoise Janicot, Lawrence Lacina, Romain Atala, Paul-Armand Gette, Susi Wyss Versa, Ira Cohen, John Giorno, Daevid Allen, François Julien, Steve Lacy, Ramuntcho Matta, and Serge Féray. There are also 24 images of Gysin and his art in this book.
