The Third Mind by William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin, as published by the Viking Press (New York City) in 1978.

This was Roger Knoebber's copy, and is signed by Brion Gysin and is inscribed by William S. Burroughs on the second title page.

Burroughs' inscription reads: "For Roger, / old friend and fellow / travellor [sic] William S. Burroughs". Burroughs' inscription reads as a later signature, and may have been added in 1989, at the same time as he inscribed Roger's copy of Literary Outlaw.

This copy of the book is heavily nictonie stained and toned, with a creased and slightly delaminated dust-jacket, but is a very nice association, as Roger lived in the Beat Hotel (9 rue Gît-le-Cœur, Paris) between 1959-1962, in room 29, near to William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin.
